Fading (Away).

Every moment has its own duration. Let us not look at an object but focus on the moment itself – until our attention fades, we turn away, and what we have seen bings to dissolve.

Even the moment of taking a photograph fades: what the camera captures is preserved, or perhaps only what we want to keep from our blurred memories.

The pinhole camera represents the achetype of cameras. The lens is reduced to a tiny hole. Due to the diffraction of light at the small opening, the images are never completely sharp; instead, a blurring spreads across the entire visible area. The series „Fading (away)“ was created using a homemade pinhole adapter to capture moments, their transitions, their blurring of boundaries, and ultimately, their dissolution.
