On Rails.

In perceptual psychology, motion parallax refers to the effect that suggests a visually deeper world. Nearby objects appear to pass by the observer moving parallel to them faster than those closer to the horizon. This effect can be observed from the window of a moving train or car. The series “On Rails” deals with this perception of depth. Familiar visual mechanisms are disrupted here, and the seemingly familiar images from moving trains, which are of short duration, are frozen in their movement and invite the viewer to linger.
